Missing No More, A Pope Blessing

Costa Rica’s national team has been crushing all who has gotten in the way: Urugay, Italy, England and Greece. Thanks to the extreme work of the players, coaches, managers and the “buena vibras” (good vibes or pura vida) of the fans in Brazil and at home in Costa Rica, La Sele heads, for the first-time ever, into the quarter-finals on Saturday.

But to make sure that they have that little extra on their side, Costa Rica’s Ambassador to the Vatican, Fernando Sánchez, made a special call on Pope Francis (Papa Francisco in Spanish).

The Pope was handed an original and personalized Sele shirt, one made by the official Sele supplier, Lotto, and not the no name street variety, in the hopes of getting that little extra edge on Saturday.
